On Friday, April 1, Security responded to a residence on Captain Dunbar Lane for a theft report. The resident advised that someone stole a handmade birdhouse from her backyard within the past 24 hours. The resident’s backyard connects to a golf cart path, and the birdhouse was easily visible. It is unknown who would have taken the birdhouse. The resident did not want to file a report with CCPD.

Property Damage

Security and Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) responded to a residence on Landings Way North for a suspicious incident. The resident advised that he noticed a flat tire on the rear passenger side of his truck. Upon further investigation, he also found a bullet hole in the windshield. The incident occurred within the past 24 hours as he had driven his vehicle the previous day. CCPD advised the resident to consider placing cameras on his property as this is the second time someone shot a bullet through the windshield of his truck. There currently are no suspects for either incident.
