2022 Road Project Update: Monastery and Connecting Roads

Mon, 03/07/2022

Tomorrow (Monday, March 7), Bennett Paving will begin milling Monastery Road.

We anticipate the milling and paving of Monastery Road to take approximately 10 days (contingent on equipment/asphalt plant issues and weather conditions).

Bennett Paving will be onsite Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., during this project. Hours may vary depending on situations where the project requires additional work and to ensure project site is safe prior to end of business day.

During this project, milling and paving equipment may be staged along the street. The road will not be closed completely during the milling phase. However, certain areas may be restricted to use only by property owners, U.S. mail services, and emergency vehicles.

You will experience delays during the construction hours, so please plan accordingly.

Note: the southern entrance to Monastery Road will be closed at Priest Landing Drive to through traffic during this project. Please use the north entrance at Priest Landing Drive for exit and entry.

Residents on Lachlan Lane, Fat Friar’s Retreat, Marmaduke Lane, Mad Anthony Lane, and Wesley Crossing can enter and exit their streets during the milling process.

During the paving process, entry and exit will be restricted to US Mail Delivery and Emergency Vehicles. Irrigation systems must be turned off during the paving process.  TLA staff and its contractor will try to accommodate residents on paving day but please expect lengthy delays.  Additional communications will be sent with the date paving will take place.

Thank you in advance for your patience and support of this project as we continue to improve the roads and infrastructure throughout the community. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact the Public Works Office (pwmanagers@landings.org or 912-598-5509).
