“Splatter Gun” Incident

On Friday, February 25, a resident contacted Security to report that her son and a friend were at Landings Community Park playing basketball when a vehicle pulled into the parking lot and began shooting projectiles (orbeez) at them. The juveniles were not struck with the projectiles and ran into the woods to escape. Security patrolled the surrounding area with negative results. Upon further investigation, officers were able to identify the vehicle entering the gate as a guest and made contact with the resident sponsor regarding the incident.

Suspicious Incident

Security responded to Huntingwood Retreat for a report of a suspicious incident on Saturday, February 26. The complainant advised they heard what sounded like two gunshots in the area. An officer patrolled the area and surrounding areas, including the nature trail behind Huntingwood Retreat, with negative findings. No further reports were received.
