Landings Harbor Marina

With the warmer days becoming the norm, more boaters have begun to pull their boats out to clean and prepare them for boating season. Don’t forget that we do offer in-house boat washing. We have a BASIC wash ($15) which is a simple rinse of the boat and flushing of the engine. Most choose our DELUXE wash ($2 per foot) that includes a more thorough soap wash and engine flush. You may request this service through the BoatCloud App or call the store. We also have boat cleaning supplies in the Ship’s Store for those who enjoy cleaning their own boats.

Many people have been inquiring about renting out the picnic grounds at Landings Harbor. You may log onto www.landings.org under the Amenities tab to find out more information. The Dockside Bar (tiki hut) is first come, first served.

Free Vessel Safety Checks

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be offering FREE vessel safety checks on Sunday, March 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You may make a boat movement request through the BoatCloud App to have your boat placed on a wash rack for inspection. If you have questions, you may contact Jay Gleeson (917-783-0269). This is a terrific idea to have done before the boating season begins.

Dredging Project

Dolan Yacht Service, Inc. continues with the dredging project at Landings Harbor. The electric pump used to move the spoils had a major failure, and parts are unavailable for two weeks. To avoid any delay, a rental pump has been brought in to allow the dredging to continue. Dredging hours will be Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Some weekend work hours may be necessary to stay on schedule.

Marina Ship’s Store

Did you know that we carry the AquaVault waterproof and floating phone case in our Ship’s Store? If you are planning on being out on the water, it is a great idea to add that extra level of protection.

A couple of new hats have arrived! The first one is Cool Fit (lightweight and breathable with moisture wicking headband) hat with the schooner and “Delegal Creek Marina” on it. You will be able to find that one at the Delegal Creek Marina store. The second one is a YOUTH size trucker hat with the burgee on it. This pairs well with the youth size t-shirt and AFTCO shorts!

The Ship’s Store is open to all residents, not just those who have boats here. We have a selection of custom Landings Harbor Marina apparel, hat, Tervis tumblers, fishing supplies, frozen bait, insect repellent, sunscreen, Rheos sunglasses, boat maintenance supplies, ice cream treats, Leopold’s single serve cups, snacks, 7 lb. bags of ice, candy, and beverages of all types. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Cash. Residents also are able to charge items to their TLA account for convenience. Four-legged friends are always welcome, and we love when they stop in for a treat!

Landings Sailing Club

The Geechee Sailing Club is the proud host of the 43rd Annual St. Patrick's Regatta. Several of The Landings Sailing Club members will be participating. The event is scheduled for March 19 and 20.

The Landings Sailing Club will be offering another Basic Sailing Course in April. The two-day intensive course includes interactive classroom instruction that will be held Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The water session will be held the following Sunday, Tuesday, or Wednesday based on student and instructor availability, weather, and tides. Class size is limited to 10. The cost is $100 per student. $25 will be refunded if you join TLSC within 30 days. You must be a Landings resident. Questions: Call Angela Margolit (973-296-8011). To register, please email Angela (amargolit@hotmail.com).

Dry Storage

The Landings Harbor Marina dry, wet, and jet ski storage is at full capacity. We continue to maintain and fill any openings from the wait list.

Delegal Creek Marina

Delegal Creek received new electrical panels this week to upgrade the docks for more efficient power to our members’ vessels. This is part of an ongoing plan to upgrade the marina for our residents’ enjoyment. Power outages are expected at the slips during the panel replacement. Updates will be emailed to all Delegal Creek Marina boaters once we have a firm scheduling from our electrician. Water conservation is another area the staff are addressing to make Delegal not only beautiful, but environmentally sound.
