2022 Road Project Milling Process – The Settlement

The 2022 Road Project is well underway in The Settlement on Dame Kathryn Drive. Before the paving process can begin, all damaged curbing is replaced. After that, the contractor begins to mill the road surface. All larger pieces of asphalt are discarded from the project area, and the remainder of the surface is finely milled into a dump truck. Once the road surface has been milled to the engineered, designed depth, a broom machine then cleans the surface before the paving process begins. Stay tuned for the paving phase of the road project!
