Landings Harbor Marina

This past Friday, Saturday and Sunday felt like a long summer weekend with temperatures flirting with 80 degrees. And then just like that, a couple days later, it was in the 40’s.  Our boaters and residents took advantage of the warmer weather, washing their boats, and taking friends and family out on the water.

We would like to welcome Isabella Zambrano to our Marinas Team. She is a student at VMI and spending several months with family on Skidaway Island while doing her coursework virtually. She is a dockhand and will be working in the Ship’s Store as well.

Our team assembled seven new dock carts we ordered for the marinas.  As expected, these do get heavy use from our boaters. The better they are cared for, the longer they will last. Three new carts will go to Delegal and four will stay at the Harbor.

Please take note of the Holiday Hours posted above. If you would like to have your boat put in the water or on a wash rack for Christmas Day or New Year’s Day let us know as early as possible the day before and we will make sure it is done before we leave.  Utilizing the BoatCloud app is highly recommended.

Marina Ship’s Store

The Marina Ship’s Store fridge is full of beverages, adult and otherwise, and the freezer is stocked with Leopold’s Ice Cream and other ice cream treats for your holiday guests and gatherings.

Landings Sailing Club

The Landings Sailing Club’s “Frostbite” Race was held last Saturday in weather that felt more like a “Sun-Kiss”! The Rhodes 19s raced first followed by the J/24s. Two races were held under favorable conditions with the wind picking up throughout the afternoon. The committee boat set a great course and a whole lot of fun was had by all. They gathered outside the Marina’s Store after the race and enjoyed the sunshine and good company. The December “Full Moon Sail” was cancelled due to multiple member scheduling conflicts.  They look forward to the one in January.

Dry Storage

Landings Harbor wet, dry, and jet ski storage slots are at 100% capacity. We continue to add to and maintain a waiting list for all slips.

Delegal Creek Marina

Three new dock carts have been added for boaters to transport gear and supplies to their boats. Please return the dock carts to their designated staging area near Sunset Room.
