Landings Harbor Marina

It has truly felt like Savannah in December this past week. Cool mornings, sunny days, and sweatshirt wearing evenings. Our team has taken advantage of the weather to detail our Marinas work truck and golf cart and to tidy up the dockhand shack.

Basin Seawall maintenance

Staff secured two panels on the sea wall/breakwater that surrounds the marina basin on Tuesday. Over time, the bolts loosen up and allow the panels to move with the wakes from passing boats.

Marina Ship’s Store

One week and counting! We have your last-minute custom Landings Marina gifts in our ship’s store. We have sweatshirts, solar shirts, quarter zips, youth sized t-shirts, Tervis cups, several styles of baseball caps, a few pairs of socks left, Christmas tree ornaments, and sunglasses.

Landings Sailing Club

TLSC held a racing clinic this past weekend. The focus this week was on “racing starts” with the Rhodes 19 fleet. They held a short lesson on shore followed by multiple practice drills on the water. They would like to thank all the coaches who shared their knowledge so more of them could improve their racing skills. **We still have a few of the custom TLSC shirts available for purchase in store. These would make a great gift for any new or existing members.

TLSC members are making progress on Harvest Moon, one of the Rhodes 19 boats. The newly rebuilt mast was stepped, and ribs and flooring were replaced. Our Marinas staff are cleaning the boat and will paint the hull and topside prior to officially putting her back in the fleet. This will be the eighth operational Rhodes 19 in the fleet, bringing the total number of program boats to 11.

Delegal Creek Marina

Delegal Creek is continuously dealing with the issue of a significant increase in birds this year. We apologize for any inconvenience that this puts on our customers at the marina. Also, while boating has slowed for the year, Delegal Creek Marina still remains a hot spot for all to enjoy the beautiful sunsets that can be seen. The sunsets provide wonderful photo opportunities for friends and family alike to remember The Landings on Skidaway Island!
