Landings Harbor Marina

A resident noticed that one of the bar stools at the Dockside Tiki Bar was vandalized for the third time. A Public Works employee happened to be on site and took the stool to attempt a repair. It is a disappointment when we find things like this because someone generously donated those stools and residents volunteered their time and energy into refurbishing and painting them. We are going to research the possibility of having a camera view of the Tiki Bar available to review for these instances.

The birds have been out in force and making a mess on the docks. The Marina staff has been working hard to keep up with the clean-up at both Landings Harbor and Delegal Creek Marinas.

Staff installed a new section of wall paneling and Henry Plumbing is scheduled to come back out to re-install the urinal no later than Thursday, December 9.

Marina Ship’s Store

The store is decked out for the holidays! The Christmas ornaments are here! They make a fabulous gift topper and/or will look great on your tree!

New YOUTH t-shirts have arrived in heather grey (blue color, coming soon) with the classic Landings Marina burgee on the chest. Available in youth sizes S (6-7), M (8-10), L (10-12) and XL (14-16). Don’t wait to stop by and grab your favorite Landings Harbor apparel and merchandise for yourself or to share as a gift. The inventory currently in stock is what will be available until January.

The Holiday Golf Cart Parade will be on Saturday, December 4. The parade route will end at Landings Harbor Marina around 4:30 PM. Food trucks and live music will run into the early evening so be sure to be prepared for some cooler temperatures as the sun sets. This event is preparing to bring nearly 200 golf carts to the Marina so the parking lot will have limited vehicle parking.

The CCA Skidaway Oyster Roast and Pig Pickin’ Event is scheduled for Sunday, December 5 from 2 PM until 4 PM at the Landings Harbor picnic grounds. The event tickets are sold out; however, you can register now and get added to a waiting list. You will be notified if spaces become available. Online registration is closed on the website so please call 912-660-8440 for information regarding the waiting list for this event.

Landings Sailing Club

Last weekend TLSC had a beautiful race day on Saturday. Six of our fleet boats participated. This Saturday is the first weekend of the month so in place of the regular race day they will be holding Race Training and Practice. The purpose is to teach and hone the racing skills for sailors who know how to sail and want to learn/improve their racing skills.

Delegal Creek Marina

Last week Delegal Marina said farewell and best of luck to its previous Dockmaster, Kiernan Racicot. As of Friday, November 26, the marina is now being temporarily managed by staff members from Landings Harbor Marina while the position of a new dockmaster candidate search continues. With the transient traffic slowing down as the winter begins to settle in, local boat traffic has also slowed. Apart from the birds, our friends at Wassaw, and the Carefree Boat Club, activity at Delegal is gradually slowing down as the off season begins. We did have a couple of our transient slips vacated and have filled them with boaters that have been on the Wait List.
