Landings Harbor Marina
There was a section of the sea wall that needed repair due to the normal wear and tear from the natural motion of the water. Our team used our staff boat “Starfish” to assess the damage, removed the damaged parts and replaced with new ones.
Both Marina Forklifts had regularly scheduled quarterly maintenance performed on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.
The cooler weather is bringing a lot more fishing activity on the pier. It has been brought to our attention that, especially at night and weekends, there has been more trash and fishing debris left behind. One resident got his finger stuck by a fishing hook when he went to pick up some trash on the pier during his early morning walk. Please make sure to take whatever you brought or caught when utilizing the pier. This will help ensure a pleasurable and safe place for all to enjoy.
We are conducting an audit on all boats in our racks to ensure we have the correct length of boats in our rack system and that they are being billed correctly. If you notice a change in your monthly dockage fee that is the reason. We do use the Overall Length your vessel is occupying including the motor. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have at 912-598-1901.

Marina Ship’s Store
New, trucker style, baseball caps with a leather schooner patch are now in the store. We are expecting one more traditional baseball cap (two colors) with our embroidered burgee on it. That will complete the collection through the holidays. These make a wonderful gift. Don’t wait to grab yours because we will not be able to get replenishment until after the first of the year on any of these.
We know it is just barely Halloween, but we’ll most likely not be able to get more of these apparel items before the holidays either. Come get them for yourself or for a gift before they are gone. Some sizes are already getting sold down.
A little tease of a few new shirts in production. New solar shirts with a fish boat design for men and a beautiful sailboat design for women (early Nov.), two colors in a women’s cotton slub hoody with the embroidered burgee (expected mid-Dec.) and a youth t-shirt in two colors with the burgee (mid-Nov.).
Landings Sailing Club
The Landings Sailing Club postponed its Beer Can Race last Friday, due to the tide schedule, and has rescheduled it for this Friday, October 29th. During this past week they did do some recreational sailing and raced on Sunday. They also held a hands-on boat training class for active members.
***Don’t forget to grab your TLSC shirt we have in store. We have sizes S, M, and L left.
Dry Storage
Landings Harbor wet, dry, and jet ski storage slots are at 100% capacity. We continue to add to and maintain a waiting list for all slips.

Delegal Creek Marina
This past weekend the Ossabaw Foundation held their annual pig roast. In 2020 and 2021 the event has changed to smaller groups over three days, instead of the former 300+ in attendance for one evening, making the marina’s foot traffic much more controlled.
After an exploratory installation of the “Gull-Sweeps” on A-dock proved to be successful, Staff installed additional “Gull-Sweep’s” on both B and C docks to help eradicate some of the bird activity. The Carefree Boat Club held a new neighbors dinner cruise over to Fish-Tales in Richmond Hill with 5 total boats used as transport.
Staff will continue to perform maintenance on the dockside power pedestals lighting. Some light bulbs, photocells and bulb sockets are on order from the manufacturer to complete this task.
As a friendly reminder, Crab traps and fishing are only authorized between the fixed pier and floating pier. Traps found inside the basin around the boat slips will be relocated or removed. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
