Vehicle Accidents

On Thursday, October 14, Security and Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) responded to the intersection of Diamond Causeway and McWhorter Drive for a two-vehicle accident without injuries. The first vehicle rear-ended the second vehicle. The involved parties decided to handle the accident themselves. No citations were issued.

Vandalism

Security responded to a residence on Noble Jones Lane for a report of vandalism on Wednesday, October 13. Upon arrival, the complainant showed the officer a wooden bird box that appeared to have been tampered with and a banana plant that was knocked to the ground. He advised that the vandalism is an ongoing issue and requested that a trail camera be deployed facing his garden. A report was not filed with CCPD.

Security responded to Yam Gandy Road for a report of vandalism at a home under construction on Saturday, October 16. Upon arrival, the officers noticed that a portable toilet on site had been knocked over, door side down. Attempts to reach the general contractor and the portable toilet company were met with negative results. Cones and caution tape were placed at the site.

Suspicious Incidents

On Thursday, October 14, Security responded to Mad Anthony Lane for a report of what appeared to be gun shots. The responding officer patrolled the surrounding areas with negative results. There were no additional reports of gun shots.
