Landings Harbor Marina

It was beautiful weather last weekend here at the marina. Boat movements continue to trend highest on Sundays which I believe has much to do with the Georgia Bulldogs keeping everyone captivated on Saturdays!

Our team replaced a broken bunk board in our dry stack system. The natural weather elements and wear and tear played a part in needing to do so.

In last week’s update we told you about the new Davis Vantage Pro2 weather stations donated by Skidaway Audubon that were installed at the Marinas and are up and running. To view the data, visit www.landings.org/marinas, and then choose "weather" from the left-hand menu. In addition to the 10-day forecast, the page now shows real-time weather reports from both Marinas, including winds and wind gust data. Research is underway for a sensing probe that will provide the water temperature in the Wilmington River and display on the Landings Harbor weather station. This great suggestion was made by Capt. Bob Morrissey.

Delegal Creek Marina

This week at Delegal Creek Marina has been a productive time. Much of the wooden walkway is being replaced. The Public Works team has been doing a great job thus far and we look forward to the overall improvement. Our new weather station is installed and fully operational. October reservations for transient traffic has increases daily. Two light rainy days on the south end of Skidaway slowed overall boat traffic.
