Landings Harbor Sod Replacement

This week BrightView installed approximately 20 pallets of Celebration Bermuda sod at Landings Harbor Park near the parking lot. The new sod was installed to enhance the aesthetic of the area and was funded through BrightView’s enhancement credits at no cost to the Association.

BrightView Landscapes Flower Bed Transitions

This week, BrightView Landscapes began to replace the flower beds at TLA-owned facilities and gatehouses. These replacements are completed four times a year and are included within our annual landscape contract with BrightView. If any flowers/plants can be repurposed at other TLA amenities, BrightView will relocate them.

2021 Athletic Field Project

Georgia Power completed the installation of the perimeter lighting along the walking path this week. A two-hour timer was also installed next to the restrooms which controls the perimeter lighting. Once the new LED light fixtures for the sports lighting are delivered, Georgia Power will install them thereafter.

TLA Athletic Field Tree Work

This week inhouse staff pruned trees along the new athletic field walking path in order to provide better walkability and reduce coverage around the new perimeter lights. Inhouse staff also pruned the trees located around the athletic field restrooms and the playground.

Dog Park Sand Installation

This week inhouse staff installed a load of sand in the large dog park (provided by TLC from their golf course renovation), to help level out some of the uneven areas in the park.

Operation Road Repairs

Bennett Paving is onsite this week making road repairs (root intrusions, ride altering bumps, etc.) on Musgrove Lane, Southerland Road, Robert Reid Court, Monastery Road and around the Main Gate. All repairs are funded through the department’s operational budget.
