Landings Harbor Marina

School activities are back in full swing and football games are playing a part in weekend schedules. Our weekdays have slowed down, but our weekends remain busy. We are operating with a light staff and have successfully maintained daily operations. Using the BoatCloud App is a huge help to us and is appreciated especially when it comes to boat activity near the end of a workday. This is important as our daily hours have returned back to 8 AM to 5 PM. You can leave a note for us on BoatCloud if you’d like to provide direction for what to do with your boat if you return after hours and have a special request. Also, if you tie up against another boat, please be sure to use appropriate fenders to provide protection between your boat and others.

Our boaters are having more work done on their boats now that the summer season has ended. We’d like to remind everyone to let us know when vendors may be coming to work on their boats. This is another instance where you can use the BoatCloud App to communicate this with us. They need to check in with the office and have a Certificate of Liability Insurance on file with us in order to perform work on the boat on TLA property.

Our Marina's team is in the process of power-washing all the docks by our wet slips. Staff also have installed a new Weather Station device that will provide us with current weather conditions and data. The new weather station will be activated soon.

We thank the members of the Caretta Turtle Program for the barbeque lunch this past Saturday. We also had pizza, watermelon, and grapes brought in for our crew from our awesome boaters. Much appreciated as always!

Marina Ship’s Store

There is a sad announcement to make. Our ice cream freezer has run its course and has been retired. Our ice cream vendor will be replacing it, but as with everything these days, it will take a few weeks. We are at the mercy of the cargo ship to deliver to them so they can bring a shiny new freezer to us. In the meantime, we do have some Leopold’s single serve cups and some original red, white and blue Bomb Pops tucked away in our back up freezer for purchase. As soon as the new freezer arrives, we will let you know and get it re-stocked asap.

The Landings Sailing Program

The Skidaway Island Boating Club and the Yacht Club of Hilton Head Island will host the 6th Annual Hook Ocean Race this Saturday, September 18. The Hook Race is the only open ocean sailing event in the Low Country.  The course will start at the Calibogue Sound off Hilton Head Island, head south past Tybee Island, head up Wassaw Sound and end at Landings Harbor Marina.  The sailing begins at 10 AM and will take approximately 6 hours depending on the winds. It should be a beautiful sight to see all the boats arriving at the finish.  All are welcome to come to the Marina to watch the end of the race. For more information, please visit  www.regattanetwork.com/event/20203.

Delegal Creek Marina

Operating Hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Daily

Delegal Creek Marina

We have had another great week with good weather and happy boaters. We ordered and received a new weather station to upgrade our current weather equipment at the marina. This will be installed and operational within the coming week. One transient boater extended their stay from a single night to the entire week thanks to our amenities and level of service. One boat, that participated in the Savannah Fly Invitational fly fishing tournament, docked for the duration of the tournament at Delegal Marina.

There are currently two slip openings at Delegal Creek that will be filled quickly from those on our waiting list.

The dock pressure washing is complete, and the docks look brand new. Kiernan and Dylan, thank you for such a great and meticulous job!
