APWA (American Public Works Association) Conference, Jekyll Island, Georgia

Sean Burgess, Amber Capps, Dylan Till, and Ingrid Poppell attended the APWA Conference in Jekyll Island, Georgia this week. The conference included vendor expos and continuing educational classes on storm water management, the role of public service in a democratic society and strategic planning.  Sean, Amber, Dylan, and Ingrid were also able to network and forge new relationships with individuals from Georgia municipalities who attended the conference.

2021 Community Path Project

Absolute Concrete continued to work on the conversion of the community path (from asphalt to concrete) in Deer Creek from The Village Gate to Sundew Road. Barring any further delays, the path is anticipated to be completed by mid-September.

2021 Athletic Field Project

This week, Absolute Concrete completed the concrete base for the new ¼ of a mile perimeter walking path. As a reminder, the marine matting to create the low impact surface that will be installed on top of the concrete base is on backorder (3 months). Once staff receives the marine matting, we will install it in-house and send a communication out when it has been completed.
