Notice to Homeowners with a Golf Course View

At The Landings Club’s July Board meeting, the Board of Governors approved a new amenity on a trial basis…allowing fishing from lagoons previously not accessible because they reside on Club property. Fishing is permitted for Full Club Members only who have registered and are wearing the bright yellow hat that identifies them as authorized to fish.

Typically, four of our courses are closed on Mondays. Fishing will be allowed on one of these courses and limited to specific lagoons. Monday fishing on Club property lagoons is allowed only between the stakes and not on the side of homeowners’ property. A complete rules document will be provided to those registered to fish. All Full Club members will receive an email  in the next few weeks with information on how to register and receive their hat so they can begin fishing on Mondays beginning  in September.

All of this may sound complicated, but truly it will be easy, as all specifics will be communicated to those who register. This is strictly a catch-and-release program, so the many trophy-sized fish inhabiting our lagoons may be caught another day.

Members of The Landings Club’s Anglers Committee will serve as observers on Mondays to help ensure the program is a success and everyone fishing has a good experience. We want to make all residents aware of the program so there would be no miscommunication of what the program is and what it isn’t. We hope homeowners will support this new amenity that will add to the impressive list of amenities in The Landings.
