Rules and Regulations Update

The updated Rules & Regulations have been posted online (www.landings.org/resources > Governing Documents). Staff now are evaluating amenity rules and regulations, such as the Dog Park, Community Park, Landings Marinas, etc.

Recovered Club Property

A Landings Club staff member reported golf course maintenance machinery was missing from Magnolia’s 18th hole. The equipment, a SandPro, which rakes bunkers, was located by TLA Security personnel, and appeared to have been abandoned adjacent to the Dog Park. The SandPro was returned to Club staff members, and the Club’s loss prevention team is continuing to investigate spray painted vandalism on other equipment.

EyeOnWater

Security responded to a resident’s request for assistance due to an alert from Utility, Inc.’s software/App, EyeOnWater. The software/App alerted him while he was away that a possible water leak existed at his home. Upon responding to the resident’s home, a hose was found to have been left on. You can download EyeOnWater via Utilities, Inc.’s web page (eyeonwater.com/signup) or on your smartphone.

Vehicle Repossessed

On August 1, Security responded to a tow truck that tailgated a resident’s vehicle through the Main Gate. Patrol Officers initiated a search for the truck with A.A.R. on its hood throughout the community. Upon locating the truck, the driver failed to stop for Security personnel. Contact was made with A.A.R. management, and CCPD has been requested to issue a no-trespass order.

Vehicle Accidents

Vehicle versus gate incidents continue to be an issue, with an overall increase of 29% as of June 2021 compared to last year. One resident admitted to leading a procession of three vehicles in through the Marshwood Gate, and the third vehicle hit the gate arm. Another guest hit the callbox while attempting to back up. All gates are clearly marked with no tailgating signs and red/green lights. Drivers are held responsible for damages.

** Please note that a brief synopsis is provided for pertinent incidents that Security responds to during the week. All incidents are not covered in the weekly recap. Statistics for all reports are provided below. **
