2021 Road Re-Surfacing Project: Mercer Road and Connecting Roads

Courtesy of Landings Public Works

Beginning Monday, June 7, Bennett Paving will begin milling Mercer Road. Tentative work hours are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Once the road has been milled, the contractor will clean the surface and pave the road. Barring any weather delays, the project should be completed on or before Friday, June 11.

Please check your mail tubes for further information related to paving schedules.

Please be aware that the milling and paving equipment may be staged on the street(s) during the construction. The road(s) will not be closed completely during the milling phase. However, access will be restricted to residents, emergency vehicles, and mail delivery services. You will experience delays during the construction hours. Please plan accordingly.

Middleton Road will be closed at Mercer Road during this project. Please use the south entrance off Landings Way North for exit and entry.

Residents on Blackbeard Lane, Salette Lane, Abbot Lane, and Magnolia Crossing will be able to enter and exit their streets during the milling process. However, there will be delays. Please note that an additional flyer will be published notifying residents with instructions regarding vehicle parking etc., once the paving day is determined.

Street parking on Mercer Road will not be allowed. Please obey all Traffic Signs and Personnel. Additionally, please inform your landscape contractors, visitors, delivery services, etc., of this work. If you have irrigation on Mercer Road, please turn off your system during this period.

Thank you for your patience and support of this project as we continue to improve the roads and infrastructure throughout the community.

If you have questions or need additional information, please contact the Public Works Department (pwmanagers@landings.org or 912-598-5509).
