Phase 2 of Delegal Road Paving Begins Monday, May 17

Courtesy of Landings Public Works

Weather permitting, on Monday (May 17), Bennett Paving is scheduled to begin paving Phase 2 of Delegal Road from Spartina Lane to Landings Way South. We estimate the paving portion of Phase 2 to take approximately two days, with an additional day to clean the milled surface and stripe the roadway.

If you live on Delegal Road or one of the connecting roads (e.g., Lockwood Lane, Raintree Lane, Tangletree Lane, Hammock View Lane, Middle Marsh Retreat, Pennystone Retreat, Whitehorse Lane, or Hopscotch Lane), a cone or barrier will be placed at the end of your driveway or street during the paving. This indicates that the road is closed for entry. Once the cones and barriers are removed, you will be able to access the road. All other connecting roads will be closed during paving. Please use the detours and follow traffic signage and personnel.

The road(s) will be restricted to emergency vehicles, etc., and will be reduced to one-lane traffic at times. You will experience delays during the project. Please plan accordingly. Parking along Delegal Road will not be permitted during the paving process.

Please inform your landscape contractors, guests, trash collection services, delivery services, etc., that during the paving process, entry will be restricted to allow adequate time for the asphalt to harden and cure. Additionally, please refrain from putting yard debris curbside on Tuesday (May 18). Please hold all debris until the next week’s collection date (May 25). Additionally, during these two days, please turn your irrigation system off as water can impact the asphalt curing process.

Thank you for your continued patience and support during this project as we improve the roads and infrastructure throughout the community.

Should you have any questions or require additional information, please contact the Public Works Office (pwmanagers@landings.org or 912-598-5509).
