Marinas Update

As a quick reminder, operating hours for Landings Harbor are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and the hours for Delegal Creek Marina are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily. The warmer weather is finally upon us, and our boat owners are taking full advantage of it. Our Marinas staff have been very busy getting boats into the water for our members, especially on the weekends. We remind everyone to take advantage of the BoatCloud App when scheduling your boat movements. If you need assistance getting logged in to the site, please give us a call, as we are happy to assist you. Once you do make the appointment online, please check in with us once you arrive, and we will launch your boat as quickly as possible.

Our Landings Harbor Store is loaded with cold refreshments, snacks, and several flavors of Leopold’s ice cream! Even if you do not have a boat, stop in, and say “hello” and get yourself a treat. We are dog friendly and love spoiling your furry family members!

Dredging continues in our water basin. We appreciate everyone’s patience as the contractor works to complete this project.

The Landings Sailing Program completed the Frost Bite Race Series and is participating in several events this spring. They have an updated brochure explaining the benefits of sailing and being a part of the program. The group recently welcomed a couple new members and hopes to entice others to join, too! For more information, email landingssailing@gmail.com

Delegal Creek Marina has only one wet slip available. This Marina has the best and cleanest amenities available in the area for larger power and sailing vessels. Don’t miss out; call us today. Landings Harbor dry storage also has extremely limited availability. If you are planning to boat from either Delegal Creek or Landings Harbor this upcoming season, please be sure to call us in advance (912-598-1901) to ensure storage space is available. We anticipate reaching full occupancy soon.

Landings Marina is excited to announce a FREE Basic Skills and Safety Introduction to Kayaking on Saturday April 17 at Delegal Creek Marina. The class will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be taught by Kathryn Lapolla. Lapolla holds an L3 instructor certification from the American Canoe Association. This FREE class is limited to six individuals on a first come, first-served basis by emailing your RSVP to scekayaking@gmail.com. Lapolla will hold a second class on Saturday May 15. That class also is limited to six people, so please be sure to email your RSVP today. All boats and equipment will be provided. Life jackets (PFDs) will be provided and must be worn. COVID-19 masks are required. However, you likely can distance on the water and remove them shortly after the class begins.

Stay tuned for more information. We look forward to seeing the sunshine and you at the Marinas!
