Boat vs. Boat Accident

Security responded to Landings Harbor Marina on Friday, February 26, for a boat versus boat accident between two Landings residents. As the first boat was exiting the basin, the outgoing tide and wind pushed his boat into the second boat, which had become stuck in the mud while entering its wet slip. The first boat sustained a small dent on an aluminum door while the second boat sustained some paint removal from the bow. Chatham County Police Department’s Marine Patrol responded to the scene and took over the incident.

Disturbing the Peace

On Tuesday, February 25, Security responded to Monastery Road for a report of loud music. A patrol officer located the source of the music and asked the resident to turn it down, which he complied. There were no additional reports for the remainder of the evening.

Juvenile Complaint

Security responded to the Oakridge area on Sunday, February 28 for a report of approximately eight young adults throwing trash onto passing vehicles from the bridge on Westcross Road. The complainant advised that the group left the area in two golf carts and appeared to be heading toward the Deer Creek area. Officers patrolled the Oakridge and Deer Creek areas with negative results.
