Proposed County Fire Services Fee Discussion with County Commissioner Pat Farrell: February 25 @ 6:30 p.m.

The Chatham County Commission continues to gather data on whether to make any changes to the fire services structure used in unincorporated Chatham County. Currently, property owners pay a subscription fee directly to Chatham Emergency Services, but not all owners pay that fee.

The County is trying to determine if the current structure should continue, or if there should be a change, such as creating an ordinance requiring the subscription, or to set a fire fee that is included on the property tax bill, among other options.

Over the last several weeks, the County has distributed a survey and hosted a series of virtual town hall meetings to gather feedback from residents in unincorporated Chatham County.

Landings residents are encouraged to register to join District 4 County Commissioner Pat Farrell for a virtual meeting regarding this subject on February 25 at 6:30 p.m. and share their feedback.
