Access Management Update

Pre-Authorization

Many of my loyal readers who follow my column in The Landings Journal, will recall articles dating back to 2015 regarding the concept of pre-authorization. Since that time, and primarily due to COVID-19, the landscape of deliveries has changed dramatically. We now have a much larger influx of requests from companies such as Grubhub, DoorDash, Instacart, Rodie, Reddit, Hello Fresh, Uber, Uber Eats, Lyft, taxi services, etc, requesting access.

Our focus on Pre-Authorization has remained the same, and it is a simple concept. If you are expecting anyone at your home, you must Pre-Authorize their entry. Yes, even vendors, healthcare workers, etc. Our Security team has done a good job of making judgement calls when it comes to allowing entry. However, too often we are erring on the side of customer service rather than security and granting access without the resident’s pre-authorization. Please, make it easier on our Officers and the persons requesting access to your home by pre-authorizing their arrival.

To pre-authorize your guests, deliveries, and vendors, please log into www.GateAccess.net. The Community Code is “TLA” Your Username is your PRIMARY email address The Landings Association has on file and your Password is your personal identification number (PIN).

For homes under construction, we should have, at a minimum, your general contractor on your pre-authorized list. If you are selling your home, you should have the listing agent and their company on file. Yes, that includes The Landings Company.  If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact a Security team member (598-1982, option 2).

Due to the COVID-19 and the Main Gate Volunteers not assisting with pre-authorization requests, we strongly urge residents to use the www.GateAccess.Net website and/or the ABDi smart phone app.

Thank you, for helping us by pre-authorizing your guests!
