Fire

Security and Chatham Emergency Services (CES) responded to Treutlen Lane on Monday, January 11, for a report of a fire. CES already was on scene upon Security’s arrival, and the fire already was extinguished. The cause of the fire is unknown.

Gas Leak

On Wednesday, January 6, Security and CES responded to Middle Marsh Retreat for a reported gas leak. Upon arrival, the smell of gas was noticed; however, the leak could not be detected. Atlanta Gas was notified and responded to the scene to locate and repair the leak.

Vehicle Accident

Security responded to the Deer Creek North Gate on Thursday, January 7, for a two-vehicle accident without injuries between residents. The driver of the first vehicle stated that he was waiting to enter the gate behind a large truck. When it appeared that the truck was not going to move, the driver attempted to go around them and side-swiped the second vehicle as he did not see it. Both vehicles sustained some damage. Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) was not notified as the residents agreed to handle it between each other.

Theft

On Tuesday, January 12, Security responded to the RV lot for a report of theft. The resident advised that a 6x6 post under the trailer had been taken. The post is valued at approximately $50. It is unknown who may have taken the post. CCPD was not contacted.
