COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments Available Now for Adults 65 and Older

The Coastal Health District has begun scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations for qualifying individuals.

To qualify, adults must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Adults age 65 and older
  • Caregivers of adults 65 and older
  • Emergency first responders
  • Healthcare workers
  • Residents and staff of long-term care facilities

To secure an appointment for vaccination, please call the Chatham County Health Department’s Call Center (912-230-5506). Hours of operation for the Call Center are Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 5 p.m.; Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 7 p.m.; and Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is important to note the Health Department is not accepting walk-ins for vaccinations and is not set up to take appointments online.

You must fill out a Vaccine Consent Form prior to your appointment. To access the Coastal Health District’s Vaccine Consent Form, please click here. You will need to print the form and take it with you to your appointment. However, the Health Department also will have these consent forms available if you'd rather wait and fill it out there. To learn more about the COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Status and some frequently asked questions, click here.
