The Kiwanis Club of Skidaway will host Earl Leroy “Buddy” Carter, U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 1st Congressional District, on Thursday, January 14. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:45 a.m. in the Palmetto Club Ballroom. Kiwanis Club meetings end at or before 9 a.m. Carter will speak about the status of the nation. It is important to note that all attendees must email Club Secretary Jim Smart (smartsville@aol.com) to secure a seat to attend this event. Individuals who do not receive a return email indicating that they have secured a seat may be denied entry solely due to COVID-19 protocols, with the maximum attendance set for 100 persons. Additionally, all questions must be submitted in writing and in advance to smartsville@aol.com, when requesting a seat to attend. Due to time constraints, not all questions submitted may be answered. Kiwanis always is seeking new members. This event is open to all Landings residents as well as non-residents. Due to COVID-19, the Ballroom is restricted to 100 persons to properly social distance. The Kiwanis Club has developed protocols for COVID-19, which are available upon request and/or at the event. It is important to note that non-Landings individuals will need to enter the community through the Main Gate and will need to provide their full name in the email described below.   Important Notice: Kiwanis members are encouraged to bring a friend! The friend must also be registered in advance. There will be a prospective membership table set up in the Palmetto Ballroom.
