Community Path Repairs

This week, Absolute Concrete completed a total of 11 concrete panel repairs along Landings Way South between Black Hawk Trail and Wild Boar Crossing and near the entrance of the Oakridge Gate.

Road Repair and Maintenance

In-house staff completed drainage repairs along Orton Court and Buckhead Lane. The construction crew also made several repairs in Tidewater Square to improve the drivability of uneven areas where bricks have uplifted.

Overseeding Turfed Areas

On Wednesday, BrightView Landscapes began overseeding annual ryegrass to the turf at The Landings Association's Athletic Field, Landings Harbor's picnic area, the Dog Park Soccer Practice Field, and the Dog Park. (The Dog Park was closed on Thursday, October 22).  During this process, BrightView scalps the grass down to where the turfed fields will turn brown to allow for better soil contact with the seed. They also run the irrigation systems throughout the week to ensure proper soil moisture to allow the seed to germinate. This process is completed annually and is funded through the landscape contract. Communications were sent to the community to inform them of this work.

Dog Park Maintenance

The Dog Park was closed on October 22 to allow in-house staff and BrightView Landscapes adequate time to complete maintenance items in the park which included: overseeding the turf, the application of a pest control treatment, vegetation cutbacks, repairs to the fencing and filling in holes throughout the park. The park reopened Friday morning for its furry friends and their owners!
