National Firefighters Memorial Day: October 4, 2020

If you notice flags at half-staff on Sunday, October 4, it is in honor of National Firefighters Memorial Day.

The United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.

The 39th National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service is set for Sunday, October 4, at 10 a.m. (EDT), to honor firefighters who died in the line of duty. To learn how you can view the Memorial Service, click here.
