2020 CCA Skidaway Banquet/Auction Update

A few weeks ago, we communicated our plan to move forward with conducting our CCA Skidaway 21st Annual Banquet/Auction now scheduled for September 22 at the Palmetto Club. 

At that time, we described this year’s event as being “non-traditional” in that it is being planned as an “all outside” event. 

This is an addendum to that message that provides additional details about the costs and outlines new information about three options for participating in this year’s event: 

In-person attendance: 

Attendees will enjoy a plated dinner and may participate in online bidding on the Silent Auction via smartphone and live audience participation in bidding on the Live Auction. The cost will be $200 per couple and $105 per single and includes a CCA membership for each guest. 

  • Option 1 - For those who prefer inside dining in Palmetto Club Ballroom with socially distanced table spacing with assigned tables up to eight guests/table. 

  • Option 2 - For those who prefer outside dining where guests will enjoy being housed in the same large tent that has been used so successfully by the Club this summer to hold a variety of Club-sponsored events in a responsible, socially distanced table setting with assigned tables up to eight guests/table. 

Virtual attendance: 

  • Option 3 - For CCA supporters who advance register for the event but prefer to stay at home. Sign-in details will be provided in advance to allow bidding on the Silent Auction via smartphone prior to the day of the event. Also, you will be sent specific details in advance about the Live Auction items up for auction on the evening of the event with instructions on how to submit “sealed bids” containing your maximum bid amount for any Live Auction item before the day of the event. All Silent Auction and Live Auction virtual winning bidders will be notified at the conclusion of the evening with payment made via credit card information provided at registration. Time and location arrangements will be made on how to pick up the items won in the Silent Auction and Live Auction bidding process. The cost for this option is $55 and covers your annual CCA membership. 

Last week, invitations were mailed to past participants, but everyone is welcomed to attend. So call your friends, organize a table, and make your reservation now to enjoy a wonderful evening of fun, food, and a chance to bid on some great Silent and Live Auction items, all for a great cause. Give Bill Schwickrath a call (598-5320) and let him know you’re interested.
