2020 CCA Skidaway Banquet and Auction Update 

In mid-March, we notified prospective attendees of this year’s CCA Skidaway Banquet and Auction. Due to an abundance of caution regarding COVID-19, we postponed and rescheduled the event from April 21 to the September timeframe. We have set the date of September 22 for the event. (This is one week earlier than the announced September 29 postponement date due to the Club’s rescheduling of the Korn Ferry Golf Tournament for the week of September 28). Although we are rescheduling this event, we are doing so with a great deal of respect to ongoing concerns about the lingering state of COVID-19 in this area. Therefore, we are proposing having it in a non-traditional way. Accordingly, we’ve been working with The Landings Club’s Catering Department to develop the best way to have our banquet, and we’ve come up with a proposal that includes three options for you to consider for attending this event at the Palmetto Club. Two options involve “in-person” attendance, one for those who prefer inside dining in the Palmetto Ballroom and one for those who prefer outside dining (essentially, maximizing the available outdoor space around the Club to disperse our guests to achieve proper social distancing). In addition, there will be another option that will be “virtual” attendance, allowing people to participate from home in our Silent and Live auctions. Importantly, for those choosing to attend in-person, the following steps will be taken in order to help guests feel more comfortable and secure:

• All staff wearing protective face masks and gloves
• Asking guests to wear masks for all activities except dining
• Encouraging social distancing with additional floor signage at bars

• Hand Sanitizer Stations
• Seated dining tables spaced six feet apart

In the next few weeks, we’ll be sending out Banquet invitations to past participants and notices to others who may be interested in attending this year’s event. This will provide further details about the evening’s activities and outlines how to indicate your preferred option to attend the event. We realize that your experience at this year’s Banquet will be a little different than years past, but we are determined to make the evening an enjoyable, fun, and most importantly a safe time for all.
