The Village Library’s Online Catalog Now Available 

The Village Library now has an easy-to-use online catalog thanks to our webmaster Jeff Storer. The link to the catalog is http://bit.ly/The-Village-Library-Catalog. You also can find the link on the home page of the library’s website (thevillagelibrary.org). 

View the catalog on your computer or a mobile device (e.g., iPad iPhone, etc.). The catalog is divided into categories such as Adult Fiction or Adult DVD. There is a link to view the titles that were new to the library last month. 

The categories are listed in alphabetical order by author, so titles are easy to find without using a search function. 

However, there is a search option available. To search within a category, use your browser’s Find in Page feature (Ctrl+F). It is important to note that this search function is not available on mobile devices, and it will work with most browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.). 

To try the search function, you will need to be in a category such as adult fiction. Then press and hold the Control and F keys on your computer at the same time, a box should pop up. Type in an author or title and then hit return. 

We will continue to offer a limited virtual catalog on our Facebook page (facebook.com/SIvillagelibrary). This will include updates of titles available in Rentals and the popular Just Off Rentals sections. 

Our hope is that these two options will make our Grab & Go program even easier to use. This program has proven popular with nearly 300 books checked out by our patrons since its inception. Books may be ordered by phone (598-1183) from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Books ordered during these hours will be available for curbside pickup at the library between 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Note that the pickup times have changed.
