Dog vs. Dog Incident
On Monday, January 20, Security received a report of a dog versus dog incident, which occurred the previous evening around 5 p.m. The resident stated that he was housesitting for a friend on Fletcher Lane, and while he was in the backyard with his dog, he noticed a couple walking a large black dog. Suddenly, he observed the other dog rushing into the yard toward his dog. The unknown dog bit his dog on the top of her head, lifting her from the ground, and throwing her across the deck. The resident stated that he had to kick the unknown dog to get it to release his dog. He advised that he did not get the owners' name or address but believes they may live at a nearby residence. Attempts to identify the owners of the black dog have been unsuccessful. The report was forwarded to Animal Services for further investigation.
Security responded to a residence on Whitetail Lane for a suspicious incident on Monday, January 20. The resident stated that the glass on the back door to the porch was shattered. She was not sure when it occurred as she and her husband recently returned from out of town. Extra patrols will be performed in the area.
