Season's Greetings & Volunteer Opportunities

Season’s Greetings
We’re so grateful we get to host the Savannah Golf Championship at The Landings Club and are honored to be your partner. Our team wishes you the happiest holiday season full of birdies and eagles, but no bogeys. Cheers to a 2020 full of time spent on the course!

Volunteer Opportunities Still Open!
Thanks to all of you who have volunteered already. We have more than 500 people registered, but we will still need more! We are continuing to look for volunteers in several areas including Marshals, Standard Bearers, Access Control, the Green Team, Parking, and Special Events.

Special Events Committee Feature
This committee gets an up-close look at some of the most exciting events during tournament week including the Junior Clinic presented by Birdie Ball, Family Fun Zone presented by Morris & Templeton Insurance, Executive Women's Day, and Military Appreciation Day with Bank of America. Volunteers on the Special Events Committee will be involved with various parts of each of the below events!

  • Junior Clinic presented by Birdie Ball is hosted by Korn Ferry Tour players, with members of the SCAD Golf Team on Monday night.
  • Family Fun Zone presented by Morris & Templeton Insurance features putting contests, skills contests, face painting and family fun for all ages Thursday-Sunday.
  • Executive Women's Day is a business forum focused on women in Savannah that is hosted at the Plantation Clubhouse Thursday of tournament week.
  • Military Appreciation Day celebrates our military and is the most exciting day of tournament week for our players and fans.

If you have any questions regarding volunteering for the Special Events Committee, please contact Karen Sellick (ksellick@bellsouth.net).

If you have any general questions about registering for the tournament, please contact our webmaster Ken Ura (urak@att.net).

Register today! Please use the registration code “specialevents” if registering for the Special Events Committee.

Loan the PGA TOUR your home, and they’ll make a donation on your behalf to Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Services!

The tournament is currently searching for two homes here at The Landings for some of our PGA TOUR staff to stay in while they are in town. The homes do need to be empty (they work very long and early hours and don’t want to come and go and disturb you!) and need to be available Wednesday, March 25-Monday, April 6. In exchange for you loaning us your home and in thanks to your partnership, we’ll be donating a total of $3,000 to Park Place Outreach Youth Emergency Services ($1,500 per home). Please reach out to Cheyenne Overby (cheyenneoverby@pgatourhq.com), if you are interested.
