You are invited to participate in a focus group aimed at improving storm surge communication in your community!

Researchers from the University of Georgia, National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), University of North Carolina, Asheville, and Utah State University are studying how to communicate storm surge risks and threats to the public to help people make informed decisions about their safety.

We hope to improve the way maps and other visualizations convey hurricane risks to coastal communities and want to hear from you about what makes your community special and meaningful to you. We hope to learn about your community and all the places and features that are important to people. Participants will receive $25 for 1.5 hours of their time. Registration is on a first come, first-served basis, and space is limited.
