On the Security Scene

Thefts

On Wednesday, October 9, Security responded to The Deck for a report of a stolen bicycle. The resident stated that she witnessed a young boy grab her bicycle and ride away. Patrol officers began searching the area. Approximately 30 minutes after making the report, the resident’s spouse contacted the Main Gate and stated he had located the bicycle on the path between Sounding Point Retreat and Saltwater Way. He further advised that he thought he knew who had taken the bicycle, so he contacted the boy’s mother regarding the incident. The boy initially denied taking it but eventually admitted to it. The resident did not want to notify CCPD as he preferred to let the boy’s mother handle the situation.

Security and CCPD responded to Bartram Road North for a report of a theft on Friday, October 11. The resident advised that her laptop had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle on October 9. The computer was last seen approximately a week ago and the exact location and time of the theft is unknown. The laptop is valued at approximately $900. CCPD is investigating.

Domestic Disturbance

On Saturday, October 12, Security and CCPD responded to a domestic disturbance on Lillibridge Crossing. Family members stated that two parties were involved in an aggressive verbal argument with no physical altercation. Officers verified that no one was injured and recommended that some parties stay elsewhere for the evening. No arrests were made.
