The Landings Association Accepting Committee Applications
If you are looking for a way to contribute to the community and make a positive impact at the same time, consider volunteering to serve on one of The Landings Association’s Committees. Applications will be accepted through December 1, 2019.
Association committees include Appeals, Architectural Review, Communications, Finance, Insurance and Risk Management, Marinas, Public Works, Security, Strategic Water, and Water Conservation.
Not all committees need members next year. However, it is a good idea to have your information on file in case openings become available during the year.
Serving on an Association Committee is a great way to give back to the community and to keep current on what is happening in The Landings. Many Landings residents previously were involved with their jobs and/or communities, and although many now are retired, they enjoy staying active.
When deciding on a committee, it is recommended you pick one that fits your interest and experience. Finally, ad hoc committees may be created during the year to serve specific purposes and working relationships with other Skidaway Island entities.
For those worried that serving on an Association's committee would take up a large portion of time, breathe easy, as that is not the case. The issue of time varies by committee and the topics they are exploring. Additionally, meetings are held at the same time each month, giving members the opportunity to pre-plan.
Residents who are interested in serving on one of the Association’s committees should fill out the form online (www.landings.org/forms). Select Miscellaneous Forms > Committee Membership Application.
