Save the Date: Friday, November 1

Telfair Academy Guild will host A Whale of a Party from 6 to 8 p.m. on November 1 at Jepson Center for the Arts in celebration of the exhibition Summon the Sea! Contemporary Artists and Moby Dick.

Starting with a cocktail party, plans for the evening include seaworthy entertainment, a culinary fare for seafarers and landlubbers, plus the opportunity to view the exhibition starring the artist Tristin Lowe’s 52-foot fabric whale, Mocha Dick.

General admission is $75 per ticket and includes two drink tickets. Patron tickets are $125 each and include an open bar, reserved seating, and a private curator tour at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at https:www.telfair.org/event/whale-of-a-party/.

There will be an opportunity to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win two, fabulous prizes -- a boat-themed wagon filled with fine wines or a relaxing sunset cruise that includes dinner for four with the Carefree Boat Club. Raffle tickets are $25 each and are available for purchase online, at the October 17 TAG Meeting with cash or credit card, as well as at the cocktail party.
