Carefree Offers Trial Memberships

Carefree at The Landings is providing trial memberships for a limited number of qualified residents of The Landings for the next three months. The number one qualifier is a desire to learn how to drive a boat. For more details or to schedule a presentation, call Leo (912-661-0720).

Boats are not required, because you will learn on our boats. Experience is not necessary, because we teach and train, and we love doing it! You will learn all you need to know to take the helm. Hassles are not included! You won’t have to clean your boat when you are done because our staff will do that for you. We take care of all the hassles of owning a boat. You use the boats and allow us to do the rest.

We call this our Test the Waters campaign, but it’s a lot more. You will earn your Georgia Boater’s Certificate, get training in navigation, develop boating skills, and have unlimited use of our boats as long as you want to continue, up to the end of the year. Other courses available to you via this campaign include Tide Management and Current Control, GPS use for Cruise Planning, and Managing a Course with a Pre-Programmed GPS.

You also will be invited to the social events that we offer all members. The first will be Tuesday, October 1, our I Bet My Appetizer is Better Than Yours -- October Fest, Tiki Sunday events each Sunday afternoon, and the End of Year Bash and Christmas Party. We also may have an On-Water Fun event like a Poker Run or a cruise to lunch at an on-the-water restaurant, to allow you to demonstrate your skills in handling the boats. We will provide more details on those events as they become available.

This initiative is a chance for some fun, but it also is a serious effort on our part to allow you a chance to learn boating and see if boating is in your future for 2020. We think it could be, and we will help you make that decision with a trial membership.
