Homeschool, public school, private school – it does not matter! Girls on the Run at The Landings is open to all Landings young ladies in third through fifth grades. The program kicks off on September 4, meeting on Monday and Thursday afternoons until November 7 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at The Landings Association Athletic Fields (600 Landings Way South). A celebratory Fun Run for the girls and their families will be held on November 9 at Savannah State University.

Don’t let the name throw you; Girls on the Run is not a track team. It is a nationally developed program and curriculum series designed to allow every girl to recognize her inner strength by inspiring girls to define their lives on their own terms while making new friends and building their confidence. Physical activity is woven into the program to foster an appreciation of fitness and habits that will lead to a healthy lifestyle, which is proven to positively impact confidence as well.
