Fun Fact Friday

Some people refer to them as Nope Ropes, while others call them Danger Noodles. There is no denying that snakes get a bad rap, but they provide an important service. All snakes are carnivores, and those native to our area predominantly feed on small rodents such as rats, mice, and moles, making snakes an important part of pest control.

TLA Community Programs Manager Kristin Peney will be sharing some of her favorite facts about these slithering creatures at the Cast Away Kids Club program with CCA tomorrow (Saturday, August 24) from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Kids’ Fishing Lagoon (located behind the fire station at the intersection of Westcross and Log Landing roads).
