Saltwater fishing around Skidaway Island is the focus of the CCA of Skidaway’s June meeting and seminar on Monday, June 10, at St. Peter’s Church beginning at 7 p.m.

Brian Dufek, the Southeast Saltwater Regional Manager for Shimano North America, will discuss the evolution of modern fishing rods-and-reels. He will highlight the new technology in fishing gear and how it helps the angler be more successful on the water, including rods-and-reels built by Shimano and Gloomis.

A 27-year veteran of the sport fishing industry, Dufek has worked in nearly every area of the sport, from product development and manufacturing to retail sales, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and sales management.

The June seminar raffle will feature Shimano fishing gear.
