Public Works...Working for You!

Sunset Pavilion Captain’s Lounge Repairs
Over the weekend, staff received a security report regarding damage to the Sunset Pavilion Captain’s Lounge and restroom on the fixed pier.  In-house staff subsequently replaced several damaged porch screens, the sink faucet in the restroom and a ceiling fan in the lounge area.

2019 Community Path Project
Absolute Concrete completed the following paths in the Plantation area of the community: Plantation Club to Cotton Crossing, Cotton Crossing to Pelham Road and Pelham Road to Delegal Marina Circle.  These sections are now open for community use.  The contractor is scheduled to begin the conversion of the paths in Deer Creek (within the project scope) during the week of April 29th.

2019 Road Replacement Project
On Friday, Bennett Paving completed the asphalt replacement of Ribault Road, Deveaux Lane and Turtle Lane in the Marshwood phase of the community.

Kid’s Fishing Lagoon Storage Shed
In-house staff painted the storage shed at the Kid’s Fishing Lagoon this week.  As a reminder, the funds for the construction of the shed were generously donated by CCA ($8,000) to house fishing equipment for the annual Kid’s Fishing Derby and other CCA sponsored events.

Pine Straw Application
BrightView’s subcontractor, Mario’s PineStraw, completed the installation of pine straw at TLA’s seven gatehouses (1,795 bales), TLA Administration Building (385 bales), Landings Harbor (375 bales) and Delegal Sunset Room (336 bales) this week.  This semi-annual application of pine straw is included within TLA’s landscape contract with BrightView and is separate from the annual primary and secondary center island pine straw program that will commence later this month after Board approval.
