First Responders Update

Warmer weather finally has arrived! We are all starting to get outside and enjoy it before Savannah summer hits us hard in the face!

I’ve seen so many people outside walking, riding bikes, running, enjoying a joyride in their golf carts, and headed to the pool. With that comes risks that some people don’t take seriously.

We’ve recently responded to ANOTHER bike accident. Fortunately, the person had the wherewithal to have on a helmet. To avoid being dramatic, I’ll suffice it to say the outcome might not have been so great otherwise.

We still are seeing toddlers and youngsters driving golf carts. Parents and Grandparents, this is not cool. It’s completely irresponsible and dangerous. It’s not about if they’re in your lap or if they’ve mastered driving in your driveway. It is about all the distractions along the way.

With warm weather comes snakes and spiders. PLEASE be careful when doing yard work and playing outside with your kids. Dogs tend to wander off into leafy and grassy areas, too. Keep an eye on them as well! If you get stung or bitten and you’re having a reaction, please don’t hesitate to call us.

Lastly, if you haven’t gone by The Landings Association to pick up the yellow medical cards, please do! That card is extremely helpful in emergencies.

Happy spring!
