Incorporation Special Election - March 19, 2019
The date has been set for the vote on whether to incorporate Skidaway Island as a city. If you are a registered voter of Skidaway Island, you will be able to vote at your regular poll location on Skidaway Island on March 19, 2019. You can confirm your registration and poll location by calling Voter Registration (912-790-1520) or by going to www.mvp.sos.ga.gov.
You can do absentee voting by mail until March 15. To request an absentee ballot, you must submit a written request in one of the following ways:

You also can conduct absentee early in-person voting until March 15. To do so, visit 1117 Eisenhower Drive, Suite E. Until March 8, the hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. From March 11-15, the hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please call Chatham County Voter Registration (912-790-1520) for further details.
Leading up to the election, there will be three drop-in informational sessions (in addition to the one held February 25). Representatives from Vote Yes for Skidaway and the Committee Against Skidaway Incorporation will be on hand to answer your questions. These sessions will not have a formal presentation:
- Tuesday, March 5 @ 10 a.m. at the S.I. Methodist Church
- Saturday, March 9 @ 1 p.m. at the S.I. Methodist Church
- Thursday, March 14 @ 4 p.m. at the S.I. Methodist Church
  Finally, there will be an event at Plantation’s Ballroom on Wednesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. That meeting will be a forum with experts on various aspects of forming a city, legal issues, financial issues, and flood insurance/discounts. It will feature a very short presentation and then questions and answers.
