Sunset Sips February 21 at 6 p.m. featuring Chatham County Animal Services

By Kristin Peney - kristinp@landings.org

The director of Chatham County Animal Services, Dr. J. Harper, will be the speaker to kick off the 2019 Sunset Sips series on February 21 at 6 p.m. at Delegal’s Sunset Pavilion. Dr. Harper will highlight wildlife that may be seen in the community, how to limit interactions with these animals, and what to do when these animals are present. This special edition of Sunset Sips will not include a social period prior to the presentation.

As previously reported in the General Manager’s February Update, The Landings Association has been working with Chatham County Animal Services to provide an educational program regarding the wildlife in our area and how to best protect ourselves, our families, and our pets, with special attention given to the recent raccoon incidents. Due to last minute scheduling conflicts with the speakers, the event was moved from January 31 (the date published in the February edition of The Landings Journal). We apologize for any inconvenience the date change may have caused and hope you will join us on February 21 at Delegal.

Because seating in the Sunset Pavilion is limited we ask those interested in this event to please register using this link: https://landings.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=622

To accommodate those interested in this presentation that may not be able to attend in person, the presentation will be live-streamed through the Conservation Corner Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Conservation-Corner-at-The-Landings-306690176148186/). A Facebook account is not necessary to view the video. However, in order to submit questions or comments for the speaker you will need to be logged in to your Facebook account.
