Recent Winter Storm

Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning the Marinas team prepared the Marinas for the storm that was heading our way. Once a Tornado Watch was placed into effect for our area, the Marinas closed at 1 p.m. so that our team could get home safely. There was heavy rain and wind gusts up to 59 mph as recorded by our weather station at Landings Harbor.

Guardian Fuel Technologies has begun the fuel tank project. The waterside entrance to the Harbor Store will remain blocked off while the sidewalk is being removed. The new tank concrete pad is being installed by Uniformed Concrete. We will advise our boaters when we expect the fuel operation will be down.

Brrrr! It’s going to be chilly next week! The store has a limited number of these great sweater vests and quarter zips remaining.  Available sizes are LARGE, XLARGE, and XXL.  We only have two of our red waterproof jackets left in XL and XXL. Mention that you saw this in the weekly Enews, and we will give you a special price on these items. Don’t forget, Valentine’s Day is coming!

Landings Harbor Storage

Dry, wet, and jet ski storage are currently full. We will continue to maintain all waiting lists. We are preparing for Phase Two of the Dry Rack Storage Project. To do so, we will be temporarily relocating boats that are currently in the racks that will be replaced.

Delegal Creek Marina (DCM)

Operating hours  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Daily

We're happy to report that the Marinas and all our boats weathered the storm on Tuesday. We are happy that the boaters took notice and secured their boats well in preparation of the expected high winds and strong currents. Our weather station registered a 50 MPH wind gust around 3 p.m. on the day of the storm. There also were sustained winds between 35 MPH and 50 MPH, which lasted for approximately five hours.
