Community Guideline Reminders for Holiday Visitors

The holiday season brings family and friends to The Landings, and we want everyone to enjoy their visit safely. If you’re hosting guests, please share these important community guidelines:

Gate Access

  • Be sure to preauthorize guests. Use your PIN responsibly and never share it publicly. Vehicles without an RFID must use visitor lanes and show identification.

Speed Limits

  • The speed limit on most Landings roads is 30 MPH and 18 MPH on community paths. Even at this speed, golf carts must slow down and yield when passing pedestrians or cyclists. Maintain at least three feet of clearance or stop if necessary.

Community Path Etiquette

  • Paths are multi-modal, and pedestrians have the right-of-way, followed by cyclists, then golf carts.
  • Always give an audible warning when approaching pedestrians from behind.
  • Stop before crossing roadways and yield to traffic

Golf Course Paths

  • Golf course cart paths are not for general recreational use. Please keep guests off these areas to protect turf and ensure their safety.

Golf Cart Rules

  • Any person operating a Golf Cart must have in their possession a valid Driver’s license or have in their possession a valid learner’s permit.
  • Persons in possession of a learner’s permit must be in the company of an individual at least 21 years old with a valid Class C driver’s license in the front passenger’s seat to operate a golf cart.
  • Observe seating capacity—no standing or lap riding.
  • Golf carts must yield to licensed vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles.
  • Gas-powered carts are prohibited on community paths.
  • All carts must be registered and display TLA-issued decals

Lagoons and Wildlife

  • Remember, fishing is not permitted in all lagoons in The Landings, specifically those on The Landings Golf & Athletic Club's (LGAC) property, unless you are a member of the Club’s Angler Group and satisfying the rules of that program. For more information, please call LGAC (912-598-8050).
  • Residents and their accompanied guests can fish in lagoons in common property areas where fishing is allowed. However, when those lagoons are behind a neighbor’s property a bit of extra care and conscientiousness is required. The Landings Association’s Rules and Regulations (Section I.2) reads: “Persons using common areas behind a private residence shall refrain from remaining behind the same residence for more than 15 minutes. Access to these areas shall be limited to the hours between a half-hour before sunrise and a half-hour after sunset.” To report a violation of this Rule to Landings Security, please call 912-598-1982, Option 2.
  • Motor vehicles may not park within a car length of lagoon edges. Golf carts may park off-road adjacent to lagoons.
