Public Works...Working for You!

Landings Way North Road Work
Inclement weather delayed the road work on the southbound lane of Landings Way North (Bartram Road to Deer Run). Work resumed on December 3 and completed by day's end.
New Roadway/Community Path Signage
One of the recommendations of the Community Paths Task Force was to install additional signage on roads where the roadway narrows and the community path ends (e.g., Landings Way North and Westcross). The purpose of this signage is to make sure golf carts and vehicles are aware that the lane is ending and all motorized vehicles are ready to merge. Signs have been delivered, and installation will begin shortly.
Directional Signage Maintenance
Staff are in the process of cleaning and painting the directional signage located throughout the community.
Lagoon Cutbacks in Progress
The Lagoon crew started working on lagoon cutbacks in the Marshwood phase of community this week. As a reminder, this program is completed operationally and encompasses the uplifting of vegetation overhanging the lagoons along with the removal of woody and new growth around the lagoon banks. Not only does this improve the aesthetics of the lagoon, but it also allows adequate access for lagoon personnel to perform their maintenance cycles.
