Community Path Maintenance

Absolute Concrete replaced 14 concrete panels along Landings Way South this week. They will continue working through the 2023 operational repair list after the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Street Sign and Directional Sign Painting

In-house staff began working on the painting of street signs and directional signs along Landings Way South moving towards Delegal Creek Marina this week. Barring any further weather delays, this project is anticipated to be completed within three weeks.

New LED Electronic Sign Boards Installed

The new LED Electronic Sign Boards were installed at the following high-traffic gatehouses in the community this week: Deer Creek Gate, Main Gate, North Gate, and Oakridge Gate. These electric signs are much improved from the previous signs and will have the ability to show videos and imagery on the signboards in addition to any wording.

Lagoon Cutbacks

This week staff began working on lagoon cutbacks in the Marshwood and Palmetto sections of the community. The lagoon cutback program is completed operationally and encompasses the uplifting of vegetation overhanging the lagoons as well as removing woody and new growth around the lagoon banks. This is completed to help improve the aesthetics of the lagoon, while keeping the lagoon banks clear enough to allow adequate access for lagoon maintenance personnel. 

BrightView Landscapes Flower Bed Transitions 

BrightView Landscapes began to replace the flower beds at TLA-owned facilities and gatehouses this week. To date, BrightView completed the bed replacements at the Moon River gatehouse, Marshview Landing gatehouse and TLA Administration Building. These replacements are completed 4 times a year and are included within our annual landscape contract with BrightView.
