Fiber to the Home Internet Installation Begins Next Week

As we reported last year, Coastal Communications will install fiber internet to the home throughout The Landings. This does not replace Comcast but provides an alternative.

This project is expected to take a total of 14 months and will be conducted in phases, starting in the Oakridge section of the community. This map shows the first four phases of work.

Before installation of conduit and fiber can begin, utilities must be located. This will include white markings where Coastal plans to install the fiber, as well as flags in the rights-of-way and easements where the work will occur. Coastal also will place door hangers on homes in advance of the work, so that owners are aware. Actual installation of conduit and fiber is scheduled to begin around March 20.

This work will see some disturbance of landscaping, which Coastal is responsible for restoring as part of the work. You can read more in the announcement by Coastal, which also includes contact information to reach out if needed (https://www.coastal-comm.com/contact/).
