Automated System for Pre-Authorizing Guests and Vendors is Online!

Important notice! If you are still pre-authorizing your guests and vendors by calling 912-598-1982, option 1, please follow the automated prompts. Keep in mind, this is not a voicemail system, and when asked to clearly say the name of your guest, simply state the name of your guest or vendor. Do NOT leave your name, address, etc. Your PIN number is tied directly to your account, so we do not need any other information besides your guest’s or vendor’s name. If you need to provide special instructions associated with your guest or vendor, then the below mentioned GateAccess.Net is the appropriate option. It has a dedicated place to annotate special notes or instructions.

If you are not a big fan of the automated guest/vendor pre-authorization system, you can opt to use the website www.GateAccess.Net, or download ABDi’s Gate Access app on your smartphone or tablet to preauthorize your guests and vendors. The steps to log in are simple. Upon entering the website or the app:

  • The Community Code is TLA.
  • Your Username is your primary email address TLA has on file.
  • Your Password is your TLA Personal Identification Number (PIN).

For those detailed-oriented people, the reason “vendors” is bolded above traces back to a communication in 2014, which contained the following text:

Vendor/Contractors – As mentioned above, if you desire for a vendor/contractor to have access to your home, they will need to be either on your permanent or temporary guest list. This is a significant change in our procedures where specific vendors/contractors authorized entry for your home must be on your pre-authorized list. This does not, however, circumvent the need for contractors to follow our established procedures and contractor hours of operation. It does, however, link vendors to specific homes where they are providing service.  Healthcare workers, deliveries, etc., would also need to be pre-authorized to your home.

Just last month, I had a conversation with a resident, and she stated she still does not pre-authorize her vendors. This creates several challenges, including increased wait times and lines at our gates, Officer errors, and the possibility of the vendor being asked to call the resident to obtain their authority to enter, and then the vendor choosing simply to leave. When time permits, sans lines at the gate and other Officer-related duties, we try to call residents to obtain authorization for persons not pre-authorized. Typically, due to lines at the gates, we will ask the vendor to circle around the gatehouse, and contact the client to pre-authorize their visit.

As we consider a more automated system, pre-authorizing anyone coming into The Landings will become an absolute necessity. Think of it this way: If anyone is coming to your home, they should be on your pre-authorized list. We are trying to tighten the overall security and access management protocols so judgement calls by Officers become fewer and less complex. Hiring and keeping staff, as everyone knows, has become difficult to say the least. Please, take mercy on our Officers and make their jobs easier. Pre-Authorize anyone entering our gates for your home. My team members and I thank you.

Stay Safe. Stay Well,
